POSITION OVERVIEW
 
Sales Consultant job is a part-time position with MLA Move Language Ahead, which is the trade name for Go Languages World Wide Ltd. S/he works under the direct supervision of the COO of Study World Corporation. The Sales Consultant position is responsible for planning and implementing sales for a defined territory, assisting in marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

SCHEDULE
 
This is a part-time position. Additional work hours may be required to include Saturdays or evenings when necessary.
 
TRAVEL
 
Travel is required. Overnight and international travel of approximately 2-4 months per year is expected.
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

The Sales Consultant must have a Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business administration along with prior sales experience of at least three (3) years in the Junior Summer Programme field and must represent MLA Move Language Ahead values and model those values to subordinates and colleagues.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Master’s Degree in finance, marketing or business administration
  • More than three (3) years experience in Junior Summer Programme sales 
KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
 
Financial
  1. Assists in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for international student enrollment at MLA Summer Centers.
  2. Advises in the development and management of sales/marketing operating budgets for the defined territory.
  3. Directs sales forecasting activities and recommends performance goals accordingly.
  4. Deliver 600 student weeks in annual Junior Summer Programme sales.
  5. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
Marketing
  1. Makes recommendations on advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail for international agents and students; to include the annual publication of a Junior Vacation Courses catalog(s) and website.
  2. Makes recommendations for pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  3. Ensure effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
  4. Makes bi-weekly contributions to the MLA blog focused on international student enrollment trends and markets.
  5. Assist with Social Media strategies to produce an English presence on Facebook.
  6. Produces a weekly email blast to a curated list of international agents and agencies to promote the MLA products and services.
Research, Development and Reporting
  1. Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  2. Accurately records all activity and sales in the MLAeasy management software.
  3. Prepares monthly marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
  4. Prepares monthly sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion and presents to executive management.
Client Relations
  1. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  2. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  3. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  4. Meets with key clients in their home offices, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
 
This job operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones, and requires a dedicated home office space with access to high-speed internet.

Compensation for this position is commensurate with the successful candidate’s education and demonstrated experience.
