POSITION OVERVIEW 
Join an exciting global education company breaking barriers through language learning and travel! The Operations Coordinator is a full-time, remote position with MLA Move Language Ahead (trade name for Go Languages WorldWide Ltd. in the United Kingdom) that includes occasional travel around the UK as well as to our head office in Italy. You will work under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and be responsible for College, University, and vendor relationships, seasonal operations and personnel recruitment, operational program support including transport, and administrative clerical work for all MLA programs in the UK and Ireland.

COMPANY MISSION STATEMENT 
MLA Move Language Ahead is an industry leader committed to providing premier international study abroad programs that ensure the highest levels of safety, education, and cultural immersion. 

LOCATION 
This is a remote position requiring you to work from your home, which needs to have a reliable high-speed internet connection and cellular phone service. You are a successful candidate if you reside within the United Kingdom. 

SCHEDULE 
This is a full-time, 44-hour-a-week position. Working in the education travel industry, a flexible schedule to meet operational demands is required, especially during the summer high season. This could mean additional work hours to include weekends or evenings when necessary - imagine welcoming a bright, starry-eyed group of international teenagers off of their flight to London for the first time or overseeing a summer evening talent show. 

TRAVEL 
Get your best packing skills ready as travel will be required to support the needs of the programs throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and the head office in Italy. 


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE 
As the Operations Coordinator, you must have an Undergraduate degree or prior experience of at least two (2) years in the Juniors English as a Second Language field. You must also be a good model of MLA Move Language Ahead values to colleagues, customers, and business partners providing a strong representation of the company.

  • Ability to maintain organization of business contacts (companies, contact names, email address, and phone numbers)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 

  • Ability to uphold professionalism and cooperate appropriately with all business stakeholders including fellow employees, vendors, and guests  
     

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Client Relations 

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with College and University conference managers. 

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners including attraction and coach suppliers. 

  1. Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events. 

Recruitment  

  1. Assist in the creation and updating of job descriptions for all UK operations employees. 

  1. Coordinate the posting and distribution of job ads to achieve the desired pool of qualified applicants. 

  1. Accurately maintain all records of applicants in the MLA applicant tracking system. 

  1. Assist in the management of the recruitment and onboarding of all UK operations employees. 

Financial 

  1. Coordinate the payroll of all seasonal Go Languages WorldWide Ltd. employees. 

  1. Assist in the contracting, booking, confirmation, and payment of excursions and transport. 

  1. Coordinate the receipt collection and bi-weekly reconciliation of all Go Languages WorldWide Ltd. employee corporate credit and/or debit cards. 

  1. Assist in the reconciliation of the Go Languages WorldWide Ltd. petty cash. 

Training 

  1. Assist in the coordination of training for all operations positions in the UK.  

  1. Oversee the collection and accuracy of necessary employment paperwork to comply with all local, state and federal laws. 

  1. Make recommendations on the content for the MLA employee handbook. 

Supervisory 

  1. Assist in staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and maintain consistency of operations programs. 

  1. Liaise between the UK operations department and other non-operation related units within the company.
